In the context of theatre organs, reiteration (abbreviated as re-it) refers to a feature where certain percussive instruments, like the xylophone or marimba, can be set to repeatedly play a note as long as the corresponding key is held down on the console. This creates a sustained, percussive effect, rather than a single, isolated note.
